Job Description

We are seeking a talented individual to fill the role of Mechanical Engineer. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in CMM programming and strong GD&T skills. This position involves managing all Quality Assurance requirements for assigned projects, ensuring compliance with AS9100 Quality Management System (QMS) and related Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). You will have the opportunity to learn additional quality techniques and develop as a corporate Subject Matter Expert.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all Quality Assurance requirements, including Contract and Requirements Reviews, Quality Planning, Control Plans, First Article Inspection (FAI), Floor Support, Product Release, and Failure Reporting and Corrective Action System (FRACAS).
  • Plan, develop, and execute processes to ensure projects operate in accordance with AS9100 QMS and SOPs.
  • Evaluate and disposition nonconforming material.
  • Manage Customer Complaints, quality performance, and customer QA portals.
  • Investigate and document Root Cause, Corrective Action, and Preventative Action Reports.
  • Perform and document all tasks related to First Article Inspection.
  • Build and maintain relationships with customer quality representatives.
  • Develop and write project-related plans, procedures, and reports.
  • Support Management through the creation, improvement, and maintenance of processes and procedures.
  • Develop skills required to act as a corporate Subject Matter Expert in areas such as PWB Fabrication, Soldering, CMM, GIDEP, Reliability and Maintainability (RAM), ERP or Quality software.
  • Support bidding activities and proposal writing as assigned.
  • Perform process manufacturing and process audits and participate in process improvement.
  • Execute all duties in an ethical and professional manner.
  • Perform other tasks and duties as assigned to support business goals and objectives.

Essential Skills

  • Proficient with CMM Programming
  • 5+ years experience as a Mechanical OR Quality Engineer
  • Strong skills in GD&T

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Ability to learn and apply additional quality techniques
  • Experience in working with AS9100 QMS and related SOPs
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

Work Environment

This role operates on a 9/80 work schedule, with hours from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM Monday through Thursday and 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM on Fridays. Additional hours may be required to meet demand. Occasional off-shift hours may also be necessary to provide support to operations.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $36.00 - $36.00/hr.
