EXPERIENCED Steel Estimator

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Prepare pricing estimates for new projects and change orders for existing contracts
Read, understand and incorporate job bid instructions and detailed specifications into each estimate
Prepare an accurate "take off" of materials included in the job, estimating all necessary labor, materials, buyout items, equipment costs (including forklift and crane rental) to prepare a thorough estimate
File all documents and drawings according to prescribed filing procedures
Prepare and provide all necessary job information to ensure successful Job Hand -off meeting with Project Managers
Onsite visits as needed for complete understanding of job scope and conditions
This positions reports to the General Manager

Required Experience
High School Diploma or equivalent
Experience estimating structural and miscellaneous steel construction projects
Experience with estimating stainless steel and aluminum
Ability to communicate professionally both verbally and written with general contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, purchasing, sales and others
Ability to read and interpret CAD Drawings, Blueprints, Shop Drawings and other construction documents
Ability to be a self starter as well as the ability to multi task
Proficient in use of computers and Microsoft packages
Software used daily: Trimble Pro Fab, Microsoft software applications including Excel, Word, Outlook, QuickBooks, Apple iPhone, copy machine and Bluebeam
Experience using Bluebeam is a plus
This position is considered a safety sensitive position and all applicants offered a position are required to pass a pre-employment drug test

Work is generally performed in an indoor office environment with onsite visits as necessary
This position is full time and may require additional working hours.

Office Hours are 6:00-3:00 Monday-Friday.
Paid Company Holidays, Vacation and Sick time
Compensation: Starting $60K+ Depends on experience, Possible increase at 90 day Evaluation and 1 Year Evaluation
