Lead Carpenter/Site Superintendent Residential Construction Company

Job Description:
As a Lead Carpenter and Site Superintendent you will play a critical role in ensuring the success of our construction projects. We work on high end residential homes all over the Bay Area. Having a strong knowledge of all of the trades involved in ground up and remodels would be ideal. We sub out everything except the carpentry. You will be responsible for interpreting architectural, structural and civil plans, ordering materials, managing subcontractors, conducting job site safety meetings, overseeing a small team of skilled craftspeople. Additionally, you will need to have your own tools and a truck for transportation to job sites.

Key Responsibilities:
Order construction materials, ensuring timely delivery and cost-efficiency.
Read and interpret civil, architectural and structural plans to ensure precise execution.
Coordinate and schedule subcontractors, managing their work and timelines.
Conduct regular job site safety meetings to enforce safety protocols and standards.
Lead, lay out and manage all of the sub contractors.
Manage a small team of carpenters, providing guidance and support.
Ensure project quality, deadlines, and budgets are met.
Collaborate with project managers to provide progress reports and updates.

Qualifications:
Proven experience as a lead carpenter in residential construction.
Strong understanding of construction plans, processes, materials, and techniques.
Ability to read and interpret civil, architectural, and structural plans.
Extensive knowledge of ground up construction (Foundations and framing)
Experience in managing subcontractors and coordinating their work.
Excellent leadership and communication skills.
Commitment to job site safety and knowledge of safety standards.
Must have your own tools and a reliable truck for transportation.

**Bilingual proficiency in Spanish is a plus but not required.**
