Lead Carpenter - SQUAMISH Benefits Package

Blueline Contracting is seeking an experienced Lead Carpenter to join our Squamish team.

Positions available immediately.

We build high performance custom homes in the Sea to Sky and have several exciting projects lined up for 2025. We are looking to add an experienced and detail oriented lead carpenter to our tight knit team.
The ideal candidate comes from a history of working on high end custom projects and brings extensive experience, a passion for the craft and attention to detail to the team.

CRITICAL REQUIREMENTS:

-Min 10 years as a carpenter
-Min 5 years working on custom residential
-Previous experience as a lead carpenter on complex projects
-Forming, Framing, Cladding and Finishing experience is critical - you should be very experienced in these areas
-Ability to read plans and execute with accuracy

WAGE:
$45 and up - experience dependent
Paid lunch break
Paid travel time - if required
Profit Sharing bonus structure

Lead Carpenter is responsible for the day to day execution of a wide range of building tasks on site including:
* provide quality workmanship consistent with BCBC and company quality standards
* provide leadership and decision making on all site carpentry tasks
* high level layout, problem solving, plans information gathering, construction plan and sequencing development
* architectural forming/ high end framing including timber work
* cladding/soffitting - cedar/hardie/flashing work
* high level interior finishing including trim, millwork install, etc
* manage small crew - carpenters, apprentices and/or labourers
* maintain site safety and identify/manage safety issues
* provide mentorship to apprentices
* integrate into a motivated, vested team who takes pride in their work, and is committed to the team project goals
* transportation and cell phone
* personal tools, boots, all personal safety gear

PREFERENCE TO:
* experience
* previous supervision/lead roles
* shop / finishing work experience
* red seal
* first aid certs
