Job Summary:

Grover Landscape Services, Inc. is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Commercial Construction Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately and efficiently preparing comprehensive cost estimates for a variety of commercial landscaping projects. This role requires a strong understanding of commercial estimating principles, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with our project management and sales teams.

Responsibilities:

• Thoroughly review and analyze project plans, specifications, and other documentation to understand project scope and requirements.
• Perform accurate quantity takeoffs for materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractors.
• Develop detailed and competitive cost estimates, including direct costs, indirect costs, and profit margins.
• Utilize estimating software and spreadsheets to prepare and present estimates in a clear and organized manner.
• Obtain pricing from vendors and subcontractors, ensuring competitive and accurate quotes.
• Analyze and compare bids from subcontractors and suppliers.
• Prepare bid proposals and ensure timely submission.
• Collaborate with the operations team to understand client needs and project objectives.
• Work closely with project managers to ensure accurate cost tracking and identify potential cost variances.
• Maintain organized and up-to-date estimating files and databases.
• Stay current with industry trends, pricing, and new materials.
• Participate in pre-bid meetings and site visits as required.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of our estimating processes and procedures.
