About the Opportunity
We have an opportunity for an Electrician/Instrument Repair to join our Centerra Langeloth team. This position is an onsite role based in Langeloth, PA, with responsiblity for installing and repairing electrical systems, apparatus, and electrical and electronic components of industrial machinery and equipment. This role must maintain a high standard of safety and housekeeping while being able to use electrical testing equipment.
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Maintains electrical equipment, such as wiring, motors, switches, switchboards, and electrical mechanisms in good repair and operating condition.
- Performs various duties such as repairing defective wiring, new electrical installation, changing fuses, electrical diagnostics, motor control circuits.
- Repairs electrical hand tools or adjusts tools to insure efficient and safe operation.
- Changes electrical motors, couplings, and sheaves.
- Operates chain falls and come-a-longs in order to replace electrical parts or motors.
- Performs a variety of maintenance duties such as:preventative maintenance low (<1,000v) voltage="" switchgears,="" preventative="" maintenance="" crane="" contractors="" and="">1,000v)>
- Maintains motor control centers and load centers.
- Maintains all instruments and control panels, repairs and installs all computer-controlled devices and process loops.
- Performs all calibrations and maintains calibration records.
- Repairs and replaces all control wiring, thermocouple installations or repairs and control loop diagnostics.
- Installs short conduit runs.
- Blue print and schematic readings as needed.
About You
The following will be critical to successfully performing this role:
- One year certificate from college or technical school.
- One year to three years of related experience in a mining or similar industry environment.
