We are seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager to join our team. This position requires 40 hours per week in our Tempe office.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Work independently on large projects and/or assist electrical and civil engineers as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
- Manage electrical designs, prepare reports, develop plans, prepare specifications, and cost estimates for various water and wastewater infrastructure projects, permitting and alternative analysis.
- Prepare, coordinate, and monitor projects from initial conception to final completion.
- Monitor compliance of project to ensure industry codes and practices are adhered to and performance standards met.
- Work in a team environment with the work involving studies, detailed design and engineering services during construction.
- Give direction to a team to complete design tasks and elements.
- Ability to read and understand SLDs, P&IDs and control schematics is a plus.
- Knowledge of NFPA 101 and NFPA 820.
- Experience in managing construction shop drawing reviews, request for information (RFI) field inspection, start-up and commissioning.
- Experience managing and interpreting power system coordination studies.
- Manage the design, installation, and commissioning of electrical systems, including power distribution, control systems, instrumentation, and automation.
Requirements
- Business or Electrical Engineering Degree required
- Proven experience in electrical project management, with a focus on wastewater treatment plants or similar industrial facilities.
- Strong knowledge of project management principles, electrical codes, and standards.
- Demonstrated experience working and managing projects in the field of Water and Wastewater is preferred.
- Experience with and understanding of construction-related engineering services with the ability to manage Shop Drawing Review process, and management of RFIs and Engineer's Directives, etc.
- Computer experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook software capabilities.
