Construction Supply Chain Manager

Audubon is currently seeking a Supply Chain Manager to join our team. The Construction Supply Chain Manager is responsible for ACS procurement resources. This position will be responsible for planning, executing and developing all aspects of the supply chain process. This position reports directly to the ACS Vice President of Shared Services Managing ACS procurement resources.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Monitor, track and report to Senior Management all procurement phases: RFQ creation, PO issuance, and onsite material delivery dates.
  • Supports pre-contract efforts.
  • Coordination with HSE and Legal during vendor setup.
  • Creation of material packages to streamline RFQs and purchasing.
  • Validate all POs against project budgets.
  • Drive budget savings through strategic buy-down opportunities by soliciting competitive quotes and leveraging vendor relationships.
  • Develop and manage strategic vendor alliances/database.
  • Collaborate with all departments to develop and adhere to PO Load Lists and procurement schedules.
  • Proactively escalate risks and schedule concerns during engineering, procurement, or construction phases.
  • Materials Management:
  • Timely inspection and documentation of received materials, identifying overages, shortages, or damages (OS&D) per contract requirements.
  • Tracking materials receipt at a work package level and integrating into EVM systems.
  • Inventory management and reporting, including coordination for material replenishment.
  • Develop robust reporting through PCMS (Project Construction Management Systems) to include:
  • Commodity budgets
  • Percentage purchased, received, and installed
  • Align closely with planning teams to verify material availability for two- and three-week lookahead schedules.

EXPERIENCE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

  • HS Diploma or GED required, Bachelor's degree preferred
  • 15+ years' of experience in construction, fabrication and EPC supply chain activities
  • Innovative: Ability to develop workflows, procedures, and tools from scratch.
  • Technically sound: Deep understanding of procurement, expediting, and materials management.
  • Places safety as a priority.
  • Problem solving abilities must be evident.
  • Good communication skills with co-workers as well as clients are vital.
