Project Engineer/Construction Surveyor

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Entry-Level Project Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will support project management and engineering tasks, assisting in the planning and execution of hydrographic surveying and related field operations for a specific project. This is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates or individuals with limited experience to kick-start their careers in surveying and project management.The ideal candidate can be based anywhere in the U.S. and will travel to jobsites to perform field hydrographic surveys, post-process data, and report findings.Project Engineer Responsibilities:

Perform hydrographic and bathymetric surveys, including data collection, processing, calibration, and troubleshooting of positioning systems.Ensure data accuracy, prepare documentation, and report findings using advanced surveying instruments and GPS technologiesAssist in the preparation of project plans, schedules, and budgets.Support the coordination of project activities, including resource allocation and logistics.Participate in site visits to monitor project progress and ensure compliance with specifications.Help review and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and other technical documents.Collaborate with the project team to identify and resolve issues as they arise.Prepare reports and documentation related to project status, risks, and outcomes.Communicate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.Ensure that all work complies with industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies.Ability to travel to jobsites up to 80-100% of the time based on project type and requirementOther job-related duties are necessary to carry out the responsibilities of this position

Project Engineer Qualifications:

Bachelor's or Associate degree in civil engineering, construction management, or related field (or equivalent experience).1-3 years of experience in heavy civil construction required; Hydrographic or construction surveying is preferred.Excellent verbal and written communication skillsProficient in Microsoft Office, on computers and other electronic devicesStrong interpersonal skills; must be a self-starter, highly organized, and creativeSuperior time management and organizational capabilities, including the ability to accurately benchmark project length, deliver on deadlines
