About the Role:
Wisconsin’s top General Contractor is looking for an experienced VDC Engineer to support their preconstruction and project teams through advanced modeling, coordination, and visualization. You’ll work closely with field teams, architects, and subcontractors to ensure project designs are integrated seamlessly into construction execution.
This is a technical and strategic role , ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of construction and technology. Occasional travel to project sites is required to support field coordination and implementation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage 3D/4D models using Revit, Navisworks, and related BIM tools.
- Collaborate with project managers, superintendents, and trade partners for clash detection and model coordination.
- Assist with constructability reviews and provide visual documentation for planning and client presentations.
- Support design-build and IPD delivery models through early-stage modeling and logistics planning.
- Help develop VDC standards and best practices across the company.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in Virtual Design & Construction, BIM coordination, or a similar role.
- Proficiency in Autodesk software (Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD) and other VDC-related platforms.
- Understanding of construction sequencing, logistics, and field coordination.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Experience working for or with general contractors is a strong plus.
- Degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
