Provides effectivecoaching and mentorship for entry level and junior engineers. Reviewcalculations and drawings to ensure they are satisfactory to stamp asappropriate. Ensures safe structures, safe working conditions, qualityproducts, quality service, and satisfied customers by working with alldepartments within the Company. Interpret Architectural/Structural plansand perform required calculations to ensure structural integrity.Oversees a project design team and is accountable for project milestonesand the successful deliverable to internal and external customers.Identifies potential issues with project schedules and quality andresponds with proposed solutions with internal teams. Seek advice frompeers to aide in unfamiliar designs and responsibilities to find thebest solutions. Collaborate with internal departments to find optimalsolutions. Coordinates with Contractors/Engineers/Architects/Owners asrequired. Provide sales staff with engineering support for prospectivejobs. Visits manufacturing facilities and construction sites as requiredfor assigned projects. Handles concerns and issues as necessary duringany phase of the project. Needs to make timely, educated decisions basedon needs and requirements. Prepares appropriate fixes for errors thathave occurred on the projects. EDUCATION, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIREDProfessional Engineering Licensure required. Bachelor\'s degree incivil/structural engineering, or comparable ABET accredited degree. 10+years-experience in precast design preferred. Interpersonalcommunication skills to interact with co-workers, supervisors, andmanagers. Experience with Microsoft office software. Ability to solveproblems quickly and efficiently. Ability to meet deadlines and followproject schedules.
