Job Description
A commercial construction firm is in search of a Controller to join their Austin team! The Controller will be in charge of controlling and reporting the Company's finance accounts, while managing the flow of cash and credit. Duties include:
Accurately report all company accounts according to generally accepted accounting procedures
Monitor company cash flows
Establish and maintain a documented system of
accounting procedures
Manage accounts receivable including posting of pay applications, tracking of receivable and following up on outstanding payables
Accurately protect the company's interests in lien rights
Manage accounts payables and proper vender relationships regarding payments
Manage company credit scores and company trade/vendor references
Insure timely and accurate monthly financial reporting
Ensure annual audits
Ensure accurate tax payments and reporting
Ensure compliance with state, local and federal compliance of all accounting systems
Supervise accounting staff
Ensure accurate and timely payroll and benefit/fringe payment and reporting
Complete client pre-qualification statements
Coordinate insurance coverage and ensure accurate insurance levels and coverages
Evaluate the risk of new clients, manage banking relationships and oversee company benefit programs
Maintain accurate job cost reporting, manage all company leases and facilities and properly accrue large purchases
Manage all recoveries for reoccurring or major expenses
