WHAT YOU GET TO DO (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS): Aid in site survey/field investigation as required. Create presentation drawings for proposals. Assist project architect with preliminary design drawings and documents. Work with project architect and/or engineer to produce detailed construction documents for assigned projects. Attend site visits during construction. Collaborate with other design disciplines (electrical, HVAC, structural, etc.) as needed. Conduct preliminary code and zoning reviews with guidance from members of the team. Maintain design files for all design documents including working drawings, as-built drawings, shop drawings, submittals, and other relevant documents. Participate in development and maintenance of architectural and engineering standards for Boldt specification, drawing format, administrative procedures and quality control measures. Mentor and coach designers as applicable. Participate in team, client, and department meetings. WHAT WE EXPECT FROM YOU: Associate's degree in architectural studies required. Plans to pursue architectural licensing preferred. One or more years of demonstrated ability in architectural drafting and design. Knowledge of construction technology, design, applicable codes, and standards. Must be proficient in and understand computer aided drawing software including Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, SketchUp, and other similar systems. Knowledge of other graphic software such as Adobe Photoshop, and 3D rendering capabilities is preferred. Proficient with Microsoft Office Software. Demonstrated time management skills and accountability to the team. Ability to manage multiple projects at one time and be sensitive to project deadlines. A valid driver's license may be required. Individuals in this role may be subject to an annual Motor Vehicle Records check. This range represent what The Boldt Company reasonably expects to pay for this position, but the actual compensation offered will be dependent upon numerous job-related factors, including but not limited to candidate qualifications, skills, experience, education, location, alignment with market data and internal equity as well as other business and organizational needs. Our expectation is that the incumbent will work throughout the nation on the project site.
