Welder / Fabricator Minnetonka, MN Direct Hire Up to $36 Position Summary: The Welder will be responsible for joining, fabricating, and repairing metal components used in custom equipment and systems for various industrial clients. This role is crucial to ensuring the quality, durability, and safety of all products leaving our shop. Key Responsibilities: Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics for custom fabrication projects. Perform MIG and TIG welding on stainless steel, mild steel, and aluminum components. Use hand tools, grinders, cutting torches, and other shop equipment as needed. Inspect welds and completed parts for accuracy, strength, and quality. Fit and fabricate metal structures and assemblies to specified tolerances. Collaborate with shop leads, engineers, and team members on project requirements. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area in compliance with OSHA standards. Perform routine maintenance on welding equipment and tools. Requirements: High school diploma or GED; welding certification preferred (AWS or equivalent). 2+ years of welding experience in a manufacturing or fabrication setting. Proficient in MIG and TIG welding techniques. Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings and blueprints. Strong attention to detail, quality, and safety. Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for long periods, and work in varying conditions. Experience with food-grade stainless steel fabrication. Familiarity with pipe welding or sanitary welding practices. Forklift operation and material handling experience.
