HVAC Technician/Mitsubishi Equipment, Carrier

Dual Purpose Corporation - Flushing, New York

The purpose of this position is to handle daily tasks associated with servicing and satisfying our commercial and residential HVAC customers.

RESPONSIBILITIES/ACTIVITIES:

*4-5 year field experience
*Capable of performing standard Preventative Maintenance duties on all HVAC Equipment.
*Troubleshoot and diagnose problems, change out compressors, failed parts, start ups, etc. on all A/C equipment.
*Understands technical schematics and control circuits
*Has experience in soldering, brazing refrigerant lines, water lines, etc.
*Communicates daily with dispatcher and technicians on reporting job by job information about equipment ID, completed jobs, problems encountered, assistance needed with repairs.
*Properly handles refrigerant, reclaimer, vacuum pump and other essential tools.
*Works in a safe manner. Follows standard safety practices including knowledge of tool safety, equipment safety and ladder safety guidelines.
*Interfaces with the customer on a professional basis and presents Dual Purpose in a positive light.
*Establish relationships with other technicians to learn from them to be able to troubleshoot customer tickets
*Ability to follow instructions.
*Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
*Experience with onsite customer billing when service is complete.

Requirements:

*One-year certificate from trade school; and some related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience would be beneficial but not required.
*Valid driver's license
* Good driving record
*Excellent customer service skills
*Overtime work available
* 40 hour Osha card

Language Skills:

*Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
*Ability to write simple correspondence.
*Ability to discuss the system requirements and malfunctions.
*Must be able to communicate with service manager.
*Fluent in English
*Spanish and/or Greek language beneficial but not required.

Salary is negotiable depending upon experience.
