Civil Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Civil Engineer to conduct field investigations and perform a variety of transportation engineering tasks, including roadway/highway design, grading and drainage, utilities, green infrastructure, work zone traffic control, and site layout. You will develop civil/highway design plans, profiles, sections, and details using engineering software such as AutoCAD and MicroStation. Additionally, you will prepare technical reports, cost estimates, specifications, and other contract documents, supporting multi-disciplinary design development teams in project execution. You will also provide support for other engineering activities as required, and perform additional responsibilities as appropriate for the position.

Responsibilities

• Conduct field investigations related to transportation engineering tasks.
• Perform roadway/highway design, grading, drainage, utilities, green infrastructure, work zone traffic control, and site layout.
• Develop civil/highway design plans, profiles, sections, and details using AutoCAD and MicroStation.
• Prepare technical reports, cost estimates, specifications, and contract documents.
• Support multi-disciplinary design development teams in project execution.
• Provide support for other engineering activities as required.
• Perform additional responsibilities as appropriate for the position.

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
• 5+ years of experience with NYCDOT and NYCDDC civil/highway projects.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D or MicroStation.
• Experience in transportation design, drainage, grading.
• EIT certification.

• Design experience for civil/highway projects.

The office is located in the Financial District and requires five days in-office during onboarding, then transitions to a hybrid schedule of either 4/1 or 3/2, depending on managerial and candidate preference. In this role, you will have the opportunity to design streets, highways, interchanges, railroad sites, and other New York infrastructure projects.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $90000.00/yr.
