Job Description
Join a leading construction firm in Westchester County, NY as an Assistant Superintendent. We seek a dedicated and detail-oriented professional to support our Superintendent in managing and overseeing various site work aspects. The ideal candidate will have 1-4 years of experience in construction management, focusing on excavation, grading, drainage, utilities, foundation, roads, pavements, sidewalks, and curbs.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Superintendent in managing daily operations on construction sites, ensuring all activities align with project plans and timelines.
- Supervise and coordinate site work, including excavation, grading, drainage, utilities, foundation, roads, pavements, sidewalks, curbs, and other heavy civil construction activities.
- Support Superintendents in supervising field operations and labor forces, ensuring jobsite safety, quality, project schedule, safe work plans, and material procurement.
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality control and adherence to safety protocols, project specifications, and industry standards.
- Maintain accurate project documentation and records, including daily logs, progress reports, and safety reports.
- Coordinate contractor's field efforts to verify compliance and ensure smooth project execution.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies, promoting a culture of safety on the job site.
- Identify and address any potential issues or delays, providing solutions to keep the project on track.
- Communicate effectively with the project team, clients, and other stakeholders to provide updates and address any concerns.
Essential Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred.
- Experience in construction management with a focus on site work including excavation, grading, drainage, utilities, foundation, roads, pavements, sidewalks, and curbs.
- Strong understanding of construction safety principles and best practices.
- Proficiency in construction management software such as Procore, Bluebeam, P6, and MS Office.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel to various job sites as needed.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in PM & Estimating for heavy civil and site development, highways, and roadways.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $120000.00/yr.
