Job Description The Project Manager will be a full-time staff member of the Operations Team, working closely with various departments such as Engineering, Operations, Business Office, Business Development, Safety, and Quality. The role involves managing turnkey field projects as a prime contractor employing both permanent and temporary employees. The Project Manager will also oversee tools, technical services, and in-house work when not assigned to turnkey projects. The primary goal is to assist the VP of Operations in managing all project types. Responsibilities
- Serve as the representative for the assigned projects.
- Coordinate with the VP of Operations to allocate personnel for project activities.
- Manage project activities, plans, schedules, and costs.
- Ensure project mobilization and set-up.
- Coordinate all job-site equipment and subcontractor needs.
- Ensure compliance with project procedures and specifications.
- Staff projects with temporary labor and ensure proper training of all job-site personnel.
- Coordinate project safety requirements.
- Ensure compliance with Federal, State, and Local laws and job-site rules.
- Maintain a daily project log.
- Submit administration data to the home office.
- Maintain daily communication with clients.
- Oversee job close-out activities and document final job reports.
- Manage field jobs from the home office and in-shop projects.
- Assist Proposal Manager with inquiries and RFPs.
- Develop or review project procedures, work instructions, and job safety analysis.
- Understanding of commercial construction and large-scale rigging.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Tools.
- Adaptability, strong communication skills, and ability to follow instructions.
- Ability to pass drug, background , and motor vehicle tests.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Project.
- Experience with rigging, condensers, heat exchangers, welding, and cranes.
- Experience in power plants or relevant industries.
- Experience in steam-powered facilities, construction management, and project management.
- Associate's or Technical degree in a related field or a minimum of five years of project management experience.
- Mastery of computer skills including Outlook, Word, Excel, and MS Project.
