We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Jr. Preventive Maintenance Electrical Technician to support the upkeep and reliability of our electrical systems through routine maintenance tasks and collaborative troubleshooting. This entry-level position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to build a career in electrical maintenance by working alongside experienced technicians and participating in ongoing technical training.
Primary Responsibilities:
Perform basic preventive maintenance on electrical systems, including cleaning, lubricating, and replacing worn parts as directed.
Assist in conducting inspections of electrical systems, wiring, and components to identify potential hazards or deterioration.
Help troubleshoot and diagnose issues in electrical circuits, lighting systems, and equipment.
Support repair or replacement of faulty components such as switches, outlets, breakers, and wiring.
Assist with the calibration of electrical equipment to ensure operational accuracy and compliance with safety standards.
Maintain accurate and detailed records of all preventive maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs.
Adhere to all safety protocols when working with electrical systems and ensure all tools and equipment meet safety standards.
Collaborate with senior technicians, engineers, and other maintenance team members to complete tasks efficiently and safely.
Participate in training and development programs to gain skills in diagnostics, repair techniques, and electrical theory.
Basic Qualifications
TS/SCI w/ Poly Clearance is required
High school diploma or equivalent.
2-4 years of hands-on experience in automotive repair and maintenance.
Completion of a formal training program in automotive technology or a related field.
Proficiency in using diagnostic tools such as motor analyzers, pressure gauges, and factory manuals.
Skilled in disassembling, overhauling, and reassembling engines, transmissions, and related components.
Familiarity with a variety of automotive systems including cooling systems, electrical wiring, brakes, suspension, lighting, and drivetrain.
Ability to perform preventive and corrective maintenance using standard hand and power tools.
Working knowledge of safety standards and maintenance best practices.
Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to resolve moderately complex technical issues independently.
Preferred Qualifications
Certification from the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) or equivalent.
Experience working with a diverse fleet including motorcycles, buses, forklifts, and light/heavy trucks.
Basic knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics as applied in automotive systems.
Familiarity with vehicle inspection protocols and safety compliance requirements.
Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
Ability to read and interpret technical specifications, service manuals, and wiring diagrams.
Understanding of energy-efficient maintenance techniques and quality control procedures.
Proven ability to support continuous improvement and apply failure analysis methods.

Pay Range:
Pay Range $46,800.00 - $84,600.00
