The Role:

Cognizant is looking for an experienced and innovative Mulesoft Architect w/ Apigee to serve our diverse base of global clients. Location: Bridgewater, New Jersey

Responsibilities:

  • Strong Integration Architecture with min of 4 years of exp in architecture and architectural frameworks with API management platform like MuleSoft, APIGEE
  • Extensive project experience with designing and implementing APIs using Apigee Edge
  • Knowledge of API best practices and performance tuning
  • Session Management
  • API Analytics - generation of custom reports and integration with external tools like Splunk
  • Developer portal setup and customization
  • Knowledge of build and deployment methodologies with Apigee across environments
  • Experience in API Administration
  • Strong knowledge of Apigee component architecture and implementation configurations
  • Experience setting up Apigee Edge environments and configuring various components
  • High availability, load balancing and failover configurations with Apigee
  • API Support
  • Good experience in supporting the Apigee environments and APIs across environments
  • Knowledge of health checks and monitoring procedures for Apigee components & APIs
  • Analysis of Apigee logs to identify and resolve issues sent

Required Skill:

  • API Design: Collaborate with stakeholders to define API requirements, design RESTful APIs, and create API specifications using OpenAPI (Swagger)
  • Custom Code Development: Write custom JavaScript, Python, or Java code within Apigee policies to extend functionality and implement complex logic
  • API Proxy Development: Build and configure API proxies to expose backend services securely and efficiently
  • Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive API documentation for developers
  • Architecture Design: Design and implement scalable and resilient Apigee architectures, considering factors like performance, security, and high availability.\
  • Platform Configuration: Configure and manage Apigee Edge or Apigee X environments, including environments, virtual hosts, and target servers
  • Deployment & Release Management: Implement CI/CD pipelines for automated API deployment and release management.
  • Cloud Integration: Integrate Apigee with other Google Cloud services and on-premises systems.
  • Security Compliance: Ensure APIs comply with security standards and regulations.
  • Strong understanding of API management principles and RESTful API design
  • Experience with Apigee Edge or Apigee X platform
  • Proficiency in developing and implementing Apigee policies
  • Experience with JavaScript, Python, or Java for custom code development
  • Knowledge of security best practices, including OAuth 2.0 and API key management
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment.
  • Understanding of cloud architecture and Google Cloud Platform
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Experience with OpenAPI specification
  • Experience with API analytics and monitoring

The annual salary for this position is between $100,890 $186,500 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizants discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizants applicable plans.
