Wire Harness Installation Design Engineer

• Location: San Antonio, TX, 78226
• 6-12 month contract with extensions (performance based)
• Fully Onsite
• Pay: $48-$52

Required Skills & Experience

• Previous Boeing Experience or any OEM company (Lockheed Martin, Airbus, Go-Stream, Boeing, General Electric Aviation, etc.)
• Electrical Engineering experience
• College Degree in engineering/comparable field
• Experience working with Catia V5

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

• Experience working on Shipside Support
• Method wise resolution experience
• Experience working on Military Aircrafts

Job Description

• Design and route cables within the aircraft environment.
• Verify compliance with all relevant requirements.
• Apply general manufacturing methodologies to ensure efficient production.
• Provide engineering support across the Boeing portfolio of products, including but not limited to Boeing Military Aircraft and Military Derivative Aircraft (eg, AEW&C, AWACS, C-32/C-40, E-4B, VC-25A, VC-25B, KC-45, B-1B, B-2, B-52).
• Develop and maintain cable/wire harness detail and assembly designs.
• Analyze results and perform design reviews.
• Develop and maintain electrical product detail, assembly, and installation designs (eg, equipment racks, power panels, cable routing and geometry, antennas).
• Provide engineering design disposition on discrepancies (eg, rejection tags, production action requests, shop revision requests).
• Document processes, specifications, and procedures that support the design and manufacture of electrical commodities.
• Develop basic statements of work.
• Participate in technical reviews of supplier capabilities to facilitate source selection.
• Analyze functional and physical input to ensure the development of a complete integrated design.
• Work under general direction.
