HQF Architectural Specialist/Drafter

The purpose of this position is to "seek to bring forth and establish the cause of Zion."

Produces the design, rendering, and construction documents for Church facilities. Work includes designing complex architectural and/or engineering solutions as assigned by the Architect or Engineer. Produces complete construction documents and checks final drawings for compliance with AED's quality standards, and coordination with all discipline drawings and specifications. Provides group leadership to lower level Architectural Drafter and outside CAD service providers.

  • Verifying conditions for new projects and maintaining a library of as-built Revit models
  • Collaborating with clients and design team to create detailed design plans in Revit that are innovative, functional, and meet the needs of the client
  • Taking responsibility and initiative for assignment deadlines and accuracy, working with little to moderate supervision
  • Collaborating with organization representatives to ensure accurate reporting. This involves auditing spaces to assess current conditions, updating information in space management software, and monitoring space utilization
  • Assembling information for project programming documentation and analysis, integrating industry methodologies for optimizing work environments

  • A Bachelor's or Associate's degree in drafting, construction, architecture, interior design, engineering, or related field
  • 3-5 years of experience using Revit, AutoCAD, and Bluebeam
  • 2 years' proven experience in architectural design
  • Collaborating effectively as a team or with clients with spoken and written communication
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • A drive to be creative, curious, and to understand how things are built
