Journeyman Pipefitter

The Pipefitter is responsible for assembling and installing piping systems for both new and existing construction projects. This role also supports the Foreman in overseeing projects and serves as a mentor to apprentices.**Primary Responsibilities and Duties**The Pipefitter must be proficient in fabricating, assembling, installing, and maintaining piping for hydronic systems, including steam, natural gas, chilled/hot water commercial systems, and compressed air systems.**Traits and Competencies**- Ability to take direction- Dependability- Initiative- Flexibility- Resourcefulness- Decisiveness**Requirements**- Minimum of eight years of experience- Welding experience is a plus- Experience in new commercial construction- Proficiency in computer, writing, communication, and interpersonal skills- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check- Current driver's license- Knowledge of all phases of building construction, including tasks performed by various trades- Ability to read blueprints and building specifications- Compliance with all safety policies and procedures- Effective communication with co-workers and supervisors to ensure project success**Physical Demands**- Standing, bending, reaching, and lifting throughout most of the workday- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repetitively- Climbing ladders and working from scaffolding and lifts- Capability to drive long distances (up to 14 hours per day) between job sites- Other manual labor as required**Employee Benefits**Employees are our most valuable asset, and we are committed to providing a comprehensive benefits program that helps our team members stay healthy and feel secure.
