Machine Operator Job Description We are seeking dedicated machine operators to assist in the production duties for a leading global manufacturer of motors, bearings, gearing, and other components. The role involves working with large fiberglass tubes and requires the ability to operate various machinery, interpret blueprints, and follow established guidelines. Responsibilities Set up and operate machines to shape composites. Read and interpret blueprints and diagrams to select, position, and secure machinery. Adjust machine settings to ensure tasks are completed accurately according to specifications. Rely on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform job functions. Utilize math skills and measurement tools such as calipers and tape measures in the Gear Box area. Work independently and handle plastics and sheet fiberglass in the Molding area. Fill molds, work alone, and perform repetitive tasks in the Element area. Use computer systems for data entry, cut materials with a circular saw, and adjust machine settings in the Cut & Bond area. Package items weighing up to 40 lbs. Essential Skills Knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures. Ability to read a tape measure to 32nd of an inch. Capability to stand for 8+ hours per day. Ability to convert fractions to decimals. 6+ months of machine operator experience. Why Work Here? Work Environment Work in a large industrial manufacturing facility with a climate-controlled environment. Hearing protection is required due to noise from machinery. Enjoy wide open spaces with a large work area to yourself. Work hours are from 7 am to 3:30 pm with a 15% overtime option. The team consists of 16 members, and the dress code includes steel-toe shoes, jeans, t-shirts, safety glasses, and hearing protection. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
