Carpenter Apprentice Location: Grand Junction, Colorado Job Type: Contract to hire About the Role We are seeking a skilled and reliable Carpenter Apprentice to join our team on a commercial project in Grand Junction. This position involves general labor and carpentry work, with an emphasis on teamwork and a willingness to follow direction. While blueprint reading and leadership experience are preferred, they are not required. Key Responsibilities Perform general construction and site maintenance tasks Execute framing and rough carpentry work Build temporary railings and containment structures Keep the job site clean and organized, ensuring safety standards are met Operate hand and power tools proficiently Engage in demolition and material removal as needed Install doors, metal studs, cabinetry, and trim work Read and interpret blueprints when applicable Operate forklifts and other site equipment (training provided, if necessary) Required Skills & Qualifications Experience in general labor, construction, and rough carpentry Proficiency with hand and power tools Ability to perform finish carpentry, including trim and cabinetry installation Familiarity with door installation and metal stud framing Preferred Qualifications At least 2 years of relevant construction or carpentry experience Experience with demolition and site clean-up Ability to read and follow blueprints is a plus Why Join Us? Work Schedule Standard hours: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM Occasional extended hours up to 8:00 PM Mostly daytime shifts, with occasional night work depending on project needs Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $21.00/hr.
