Electrical Engineer - Generation Senior Level

Job Summary of Roles and Responsibilities:

POWER Engineers, member of WSP is seeking a Senior Generation Electrical Engineer to work in our Generation Electrical Department. Openings are available for the Boise, ID; Overland Park, KS; and Oradell, NJ offices.

Responsibilities include:

Lead electrical engineer on design of power generation projects

Lead electrical engineer on design of renewable energy projects

Lead electrical engineer on power plant and switchyard electrical system upgrades

Lead electrical engineer on federal electrical system upgrades

Mentor and teach junior and mid engineers

Project proposal and budget development

Required Education/Experience

Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering

Electrical PE License

15 - 30 years of experience leading a team of engineers and designers in power generation projects

15 years of detailed design engineering experience in power generation projects, including calculations, equipment specifications, etc.

10 years of relay coordination and schematic design

CAD, Microsoft Office, and ETAP or SKM software experience

Desired Education/Experience

Master of Science or MBA

Onsite construction support experience
