Plumber Job Description We are seeking a skilled Plumber and one Pipefitter with the ability to layout and install systems off of drawings. The role involves working on active construction sites in Delaware focusing on domestic water, lab waste, and vent systems. Responsibilities Install and layout plumbing systems based on drawings. Work on domestic water, lab waste, and vent systems (polypro -socket fusion/mechanical joint). Handle gas systems including high purity air, nitrogen, vacuum, carbon dioxide, and cylinder gas services. Install water side systems such as deionized/reverse osmosis water, process chilled water, and chemical treatment. Work on chemical waste and ventilation systems. Cover sanitary waste plumbing systems and ventilation systems. Install safety shower and eyewash stations, ADA-compliant commercial bathrooms, and commercial kitchens. Manage storm systems, natural gas distribution, trench drains, floor drainage systems, and welded stainless steel drainage systems. Education : A high school diploma or the equivalent is required. Completion of a plumbing vocational/technical school or a recognized apprenticeship program in the plumbing trade is preferred. Experience: At least six years successful experience in the plumbing trade is required. A working knowledge of building and plumbing codes is required. Skills: Requires general mechanical ability which includes skills in the use of electrical test equipment, small hand and power tools, mechanical equipment and materials applicable to the plumbing trade. The ability to interpret wiring diagrams, blueprints, and schematics is required. The ability to locate underground piping and document piping location on blueprints is required. Computer literacy is required. The ability to develop knowledge of, respect for, and skills to engage with those of other cultures or backgrounds is required. Effort: Must be able to lift and carry materials and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds on a frequent basis and up to 100 pounds on an occasional basis; prolonged standing and frequent bending, stooping, and reaching on a daily basis. Requires a full range of physical motion in order to operate manual and electrically-powered tools and plumbing equipment. Work is performed indoors and out-of-doors, occasionally in environments that are dusty, noisy, or which could have work hazards. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $30.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
