JOB REQUIREMENTS: Hilltop Trucking & Excavating, Inc is looking for aDiesel/Heavy Equipment Mechanic. Preferably experienced on class 8trucks and excavating equipment. Will train as needed. Weldingexperience and CDL is a plus. Must be able to work on or under largeexcavating machinery and trucks. Maintain vehicle repair records,process work orders in computer, and maintain a neat and clean workingenvironment. Most of the Work to be done in modern shop with overheadcrane with some work on the job site with tandem axle service and lubetruck as needed. ( service truck requires CDL or ability to obtain).Steady year around work with flexible hours. Experience: heavy equipmentmechanic: 1 year (Required) Ability to Commute: Reedsville, WI 54230(Required) Work Location: In person Use handtools, such as screwdrivers,pliers, wrenches, pressure gauges, or precision instruments, as well aspower tools, such as pneumatic wrenches, lathes, welding equipment, orjacks and hoists. Inspect brake systems, steering mechanisms, wheelbearings, and other important parts to ensure that they are in properoperating condition. Raise trucks, buses, and heavy parts or equipmentusing hydraulic jacks or hoists. Adjust and reline brakes, align wheels,tighten bolts and screws, and reassemble equipment. Attach testinstruments to equipment, and read dials and gauges to diagnosemalfunctions. Perform routine maintenance such as changing oil, checkingbatteries, and lubricating equipment and machinery. Inspect, test, andlisten to defective equipment to diagnose malfunctions, using testinstruments such as handheld computers, motor analyzers, chassis charts,or pressure gauges. Test drive trucks and buses to diagnose malfunctionsor to ensure that they are working properly. Inspect, repair, andmaintain automotive and mechanical equipment and machinery, such aspumps and compressors. Disassemble and overhaul internal combustionengines, pumps, generators, transmissions, clutches, and differentialunits. Rebuild gas or diesel engines.
