13899 - Lead Project Estimator (onsite) - Juno Beach, FL Start Date: ASAP Type: Temporary Project Estimated Duration: 12+ months with possible extensions Work Setting: 100% of the time at the Client's site. No telecommuting or remote work. This is a non-negotiable requirement from the client Required: Availability to work 100% of the time at the Client's site in Juno Beach, FL (required); Availability for occasional travel to project sites for meetings, inspections, and collaboration with on-site teams; Experience in project estimating, with a focus on conceptual engineering and project design (7+ years); Experience in utility-scale energy projects, including renewable energy, power generation, and transmission infrastructure; Experience in value engineering principles and practices; Experience in construction methods, materials, and equipment; Experience with industry standards and best practices in project estimating and cost management; Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel; Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. Preferred: Experience in project estimating, with a focus on conceptual engineering and project design (10+ years); Experience in field engineering or construction management (3+ years); Experience with cost estimation software and tools (e.g., PlanSwift, WinEst, CostX, or similar); Experience with project management software such as MS Project or Primavera P6; Master's or Post-Graduate Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business or a related field; Certified Estimating Professional (CEP) or Certified Cost Professional (CCP). Responsibilities: Lead the development of detailed project cost estimates, including conceptual, preliminary, and definitive estimates for new and existing projects; Perform conceptual engineering design and develop preliminary construction plans to support estimating scope quantification; Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to gather and analyze project specifications, drawings, and other documentation to prepare accurate estimates; Perform value engineering analysis to identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining quality and project requirements; Develop and maintain estimation tools, databases, and methodologies to enhance the accuracy and efficiency of cost estimating processes; Conduct risk assessments and develop contingency plans to account for potential project uncertainties; Present cost estimates and value engineering options to senior management, project stakeholders, and clients.
