Role and responsibilities A transportation EIT will perform roadway design, this position will perform roadway design and modeling utilizing Microstation and OpenRoads Designer. They will work in conjunction with the project managers, peer engineers, and CADD team members to coordinate the roadway design with other project disciplines to meet project deadlines for various projects throughout Utah and other regions as needed. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on a variety of project types and sizes, including design-build. Essential Job Functions: Assist in development in Roadway Design plans and contract documents. Although expected to work independently, this individual must be able to interact well with other team members within the Wilson & Company team. Willingness to gain experience in business development / marketing, including attendance at local industry conferences and seminars. High degree of interpersonal and communication skills is necessary. Proven teamwork and problem-solving skills. Comfortable to manage and develop business client relationships. Excellent work ethic and a comprehensive understanding of engineering principles. Required Experience: Bachelor's degree in civil engineering from an ABET accredited school. Engineer in Training (EIT) Certification or ability to obtain. 2-4 years' experience in the design of streets and highways. Experience with federal, state, and local regulations that pertain to the design of street and/or highway projects. Experience with Microstation and OpenRoads Designer.
