This is a job for CRANE OPERATOR-A with a company in the Pascagoula, MS area.Job Summary: The crane operator is responsible for the safe operation of a hydraulic and/or crawler crane. Hand levers and foot controls are manipulated to raise and lower the crane boom and load line, and to steer and rotate the chassis while moving structural components and materials within the shipyard. Job orders are compiled from the leader man and operators must constantly be responsible for attending to hand signals for guidance. Crane operators may also assist in the maintenance of their crane/mobile equipment and will participate in doing some of their own rigging.Responsibilities: Move structural components and material within the shipyard.Qualifications: A minimum of one year's experience in the operation of hydraulic/crawler crane and other mobile equipment. Knowledge of hand signals given by riggers in the movement of structural components or material. Knowledge of the workings of their crane; raise and lower boom, hand levers and foot controls.
