As a Project Engineer, you will support the Project Manager and Site Superintendent across all phases of commercial and residential construction-from preconstruction through closeout. You'll play a critical role in documentation, subcontractor coordination, budgeting, scheduling, and on-site operations.

What you will be doing:

  • Assist with reviewing project budgets and schedules
  • Communicate and coordinate regularly with subcontractors
  • Support project setup, including permitting, subcontractor outreach, and temporary facilities
  • Manage RFIs and submittals to resolve documentation gaps and discrepancies
  • Track project costs, change orders, and meeting documentation using construction management software
  • Maintain accurate, organized project documentation from preconstruction through closeout
  • Lead and participate in safety meetings; ensure compliance with all safety regulations
  • Assist on the job site with general carpentry, labor tasks, and material runs as needed

What you will need to succeed:

  • Associate's degree in Construction Management or relevant experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and construction management software
  • Familiar with project scheduling, change orders, and cost tracking
  • Familiarity with job costing, billing, and project documentation
  • Strong communication and active listening abilities
  • Highly organized with attention to detail
  • A proactive, problem-solving mindset
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, team-focused environment
  • Eagerness to learn and stay current with industry trends
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs (and up to 100 lbs with assistance)
  • Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Able to perform physical job site tasks including bending, climbing, and kneeling
