- Contact and follow up with leads and customers to understand project scope and requirements.
- Review and analyze project documents including drawings, specifications, P&IDs, and schematics.
- Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for plumbing, HVAC, piping, and sheet metal systems.
- Develop quantity take-offs and material/labor cost breakdowns.
- Prepare and submit Request for Proposals (RFPs) and bid packages in a timely manner.
- Identify and solicit pricing from subcontractors and suppliers; prepare comparison analyses.
- Maintain and update historical cost data and pricing databases.
- Participate in pre-bid meetings, site visits, and client presentations as needed.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and field personnel to ensure alignment on project scope and cost.
- Track and manage bid status, follow up on submitted bids, and assist in project handoff to operations.
- 5+ years of Mechanical Construction experience
- 2+ years of Estimating experience
- Proficiency in Excel/Quotesoft and/or Sage software
- Strong Sheet Metal and/or Plumbing experience on commercial projects
- Experience in healthcare, K-12, or data center projects
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Experience with change orders and preconstruction processes
