Job Description
Mechanical Engineer Location: Arrow Engine Company 2301 E. Independance St. Tulsa, OK 74110 Summary: Arrow Engine and Compression company is seeking a Mechanical Engineer that is responsible for the development, design, and optimization of internal combustion engines, This role involves creating detailed 3D models, performing simulations, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve engine performance, efficiency, and reliability. The engineer will also ensure compliance with industry standards, conduct failure analysis, and support prototype development and testing. Responsibilities: Design and develop engine components and systems, including internal engine components, ignition/air/ fuel/speed governing systems, intake and exhaust systems, turbochargers, and cooling systems Conduct failure analysis and implement design improvements Support prototype builds, testing, and validation processes Create production ready models, drawings, and work packets of products within estimate hours Manage engineering from approved drawing package through final production stage Quickly resolve any issues on the shop floor with the production manager Ensure designs conform to company design standards Responsible for accuracy of drawings to prevent rework and scrap Assemble production work packets following standard templates Draft part and assembly drawings Write and release detailed technical literature as required Actively support cost reduction initiatives Other responsibilities may be assigned Specific Qualifications Specific Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in engineering or 5+ years' mechanical design experience Working knowledge of engines including but not limited to combustion, cooling systems and exhaust systems Ability to read and understand electrical schematic diagrams Proficiency in SolidWorks & AutoCAD High attention to details Hands-on production and mechanical design experience Understanding of machine capabilities and fabrication equipment with respect to the constraints it places on creating efficient manufacturable designs Strong work ethic with demonstrated accountability Able to work efficiently with minimum supervision Ability to problem solve, find root causes, and take preventive or corrective actions Company Overview Why IES Infrastructure?
