- Lead and manage hardware aspects of products from architecture to validation.
- Provide technical leadership for electrical design in cross-functional projects.
- Develop hardware design for products using different sensing and communication technologies.
- Write and qualify design requirements and test cases.
- Architect systems with subsystems, creating well-written requirements for regulatory purposes.
- Ensure separation between design and testing processes.
- Use Jira for requirements and test management.
- Collaborate hands-on with the team to solve problems and troubleshoot.
- Conduct testing at TUV and Element with occasional travel within Twin Cities.
- Mentor and guide the team through the entire product lifecycle from requirements to production.
- Electrical engineering and design expertise.
- Proficiency in schematic and hardware electronics design.
- Experience with PCB design and Altium software.
- Understanding of power distribution and microcontroller design.
- Strong in FPGA and VHDL/Verilog with Alterra.
- Capability in logic design and writing requirements for subsystems.
- Experience in regulated industries, such as medical or defense.
- Skill in electronics testing and writing test cases.
- Experience in electronics peripherals design and integration.
- Knowledge of power design and analog circuit design.
- Familiarity with design for manufacturing and test, particularly with sensors.
- Leadership and mentoring skills.
The work environment is centered around engineering, utilizing Altium for schematic and board layout. The role requires hands-on involvement throughout the entire product lifecycle, ensuring seamless integration and testing of electronic components.
