Johns Manville, a leader in the Commercial/Roofing Systems is seeking motivated individuals to perform as a Production Machine Operator! In the HILLSBORO facility, we manufacture insulation for roofs. It's a neat process, but what is even cooler is how we do it... The Entry Level Operator works cross-functionally and is a part of the Pay-For-Skills program. The Pay-For-Skills program builds on the Entry Level Operator with pay increasing after each of the four jobs is learned which means ROOM FOR ADVANCEMENT. The facility is one of the top performers in the division supplying material all over the United States which translates to JOB SECURITY. Starting wage would be $18.50/hour and then jump up to $21.36/hour after you have successfully completed your probationary period. Hours: 6PM-6AM (4-5 days a week) Must be able to work weekends, holidays, and OT. Your Day-to-Day: Monitor production during run Able to communicate over the radio Cutting feet material, sampling product, move materials by hand, operate a forklift, empty trash carts, conduct clean-up activities Complete preventative maintenance work tasks, assist with start-ups Monitor production line and begin to learn other key positions (i.e. Level 2-4). Understand finished product specifications Perform other tasks assigned by the supervisor What You Bring to the Team: At least one year working in a warehouse/production environment. Ability to work flexible shifts Have general math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions and percentages). Beginner to intermediate computer skills (Microsoft office).
