A Product Development Project Manager is needed for a multinational manufacturing company that produces and distributes trucks, buses and construction equipment, as well as marine and industrial drive systems in the Greensboro, NC area. This role manages and supports engineering-based product development projects by planning, coordinating resources, tracking progress, and resolving issues, typically handling low-complexity projects with moderate independence.

responsibilities:
  • Design and implement operational plans for engineering-based product development projects.

  • Prepare designs, specifications, schedules, cost estimates, and project controls.

  • Manage stages including production, transportation, installation, testing, and commissioning of infrastructure, facilities, or equipment.

  • Monitor project progress and performance; resolve operational issues to minimize delays.

  • Identify and gather necessary resources for successful project completion.

  • Develop engineering standards, work specifications, project schedules, budgets, and material/equipment selections.
Skills:

  • Manage smaller or low-complexity projects or sub-projects within larger initiatives.

  • Apply practical knowledge from education and prior work experience.

  • Work with general supervision and moderate autonomy.

  • Solve difficult, but typically not highly complex, problems.

  • Influence team members by explaining facts, policies, and practices.
Experience: 2-5 years of relevant experience.
