Fort Dodge Fiber is looking for a dynamic, hands-on Fiber Operations Manager to oversee the design, operation, maintenance, and installation of our state-of-the-art fiber optics network. In this leadership role, youll guide our outside plant team to deliver exceptional service that drives customer satisfaction and positions Fort Dodge as a leader in municipal broadband.

Supervise all aspects of the fiber optic plant and customer premise infrastructure, from installation to ongoing maintenance.
Provide day-to-day leadership to a team of service technicians and ensure the highest quality standards are met.
Coordinate field operations, vendor relationships, and internal communication across city departments.
Solve technical and service issues with speed and confidence youll be the go-to problem solver.
Ensure that every interaction whether with customers, coworkers, or contractors reflects the values and service excellence of Fort Dodge Fiber.
Take the lead on project planning, system documentation, and infrastructure upgrades.
Help us drive adoption of retail fiber service with top-tier customer experience.
3+ years of relevant experience in telecommunications, networking construction, low-voltage cabling, or customer premise equipment installation.
Strong communication and customer service skills with a focus on end-user satisfaction.
Supervisory experience with the ability to lead and support a technical team.
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Valid State Drivers License with an insurable driving record per City policy.
Must pass a post-offer background check, physical examination, and drug screening.
Preferred Qualifications:
Associates degree or technical certification from an accredited college or university.
Experience working at a retail telecommunications provider (e.g., internet, TV, phone).
Hands-on experience with construction oversight or project management in a networking/broadband setting.
