Job Description

Engage with building owners, facility managers, developers, architects, engineers, and contractors to deliver innovative solutions in building automation, energy conservation, green design, HVAC mechanical system upgrades, and more.

Responsibilities

  • Provide visionary leadership to the contracting team, fostering a high-performance culture with clear goals and accountability measures.
  • Align contracting strategies with corporate objectives to ensure long-term growth, sustainability, and profitability.
  • Establish processes to improve project development, timelines, cost management, and quality control.
  • Collaborate with IT and stakeholders to assess AI tools and identify opportunities for effective technology solutions.
  • Adopt and promote the organization's Talent Philosophy, recruiting and developing top talent.
  • Provide mentorship and professional development opportunities, conducting regular performance evaluations.
  • Collaborate with sales and business development teams to understand customer needs and implement innovative solutions.
  • Ensure safety is designed into every job, overseeing preconstruction phases including budget and proposal development.
  • Oversee engineering efforts to design systems for constructability, serviceability, and minimized field labor requirements.
  • Manage engineering department's operating budget, ensuring timely completion and communication of projects.
  • Oversee project execution, ensuring delivery within scope, budget, and compliance with regulations.
  • Lead planning, budgeting, and execution of contracting operations, maintaining high standards of safety and quality.
  • Monitor and assess financial performance, developing budgets and implementing cost-saving measures.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Professional Engineering License (PE) in North Carolina preferred
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in leadership roles within contracting or construction industry
  • Proven track record in managing large-scale MEP contracting projects
  • Strong financial acumen and experience with budgeting and financial management
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to drive strategic initiatives and foster a high-performance culture

Work Environment

This position is based in either Raleigh or Greensboro, North Carolina, with Greensboro being preferred.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $175000.00 - $250000.00/yr.
