Description
Position Summary:Oversee, coordinate, and track the progress of HVAC construction projects to ensure systems are installed according to design specifications. Provide logistical support to field teams by ensuring timely delivery of materials to maintain workflow. Collaborate with field supervisors and project managers to allocate appropriate labor resources, ensuring project timelines and client expectations are met. Deliver high-quality installations that are fully operational, on schedule, and within budget, while upholding professionalism and client satisfaction.Take full responsibility for assigned projects from initiation through completion, including the warranty phase. Develop and execute a comprehensive plan to meet project deadlines and financial targets, adjusting as needed to stay aligned with goals.Key Responsibilities:Maintain regular communication with the project leadership team, reporting issues and potential changes early to facilitate proactive management.Procure and track sheet metal and piping materials to support project timelines and budgets.Ensure field teams are working from the most current plans, specifications, and installation guidelines.Prepare shop drawings and submittals when not handled by senior project staff.Attend job meetings and relay updates to field personnel.Coordinate equipment and material deliveries with all relevant parties.Draft and manage correspondence with stakeholders including clients, vendors, subcontractors, and design professionals.Document delays and issues, and support the change order process.Assist with billing processes and monitor job costs, providing explanations for variances.Review and provide input on coordination drawings and communicate scheduling needs.Support workforce development through training, recruitment, and performance evaluations.Ensure adequate staffing and coordinate fabrication and delivery schedules.Promote and enforce safety policies, involving safety personnel as needed.Supervise site conditions and field productivity, guiding work sequences and labor planning.Maintain and update short-term project schedules and labor forecasts.Conduct site visits to verify quality and compliance with specifications.Create and manage internal punch lists and ensure timely resolution of deficiencies.Track and manage rental equipment and subcontractor performance.Assist with project closeout documentation and ensure accurate as-built records.Remain engaged through commissioning and warranty phases, serving as the primary contact for post-completion issues.Required Skills and Qualifications:Strong interpersonal and communication skills.Ability to collaborate with construction teams, clients, and design professionals.Proficiency in project management practices and HVAC systems.Familiarity with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, Outlook).35 years of experience in HVAC commercial construction project management (5 years preferred).
