Summary
The Construction Project Coordinator position oversees the construction of assigned Buckle remodels, new store construction and open store remodel projects, ensuring timely completion and accuracy. This Teammate will manage materials and vendors that are part of the construction process so that all work meets contract specifications.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Project Management and Execution:
- Manage four to five projects simultaneously, from preliminary work to punch list completion.
- Oversee the overall schedule of store buildouts provided by the general contractor; negotiate completion dates if necessary.
- Complete full material take-offs for all projects; review drawings for accuracy before project commencement.
- Create phasing plans and approve or adjust the general contractor's proposed delivery schedule.
- Direct contracted labor to ensure new spaces are ready for occupancy and punch lists are completed timely.
- Submit final closeout for approval after confirming paperwork documenting work performed meets contract specifications.
- Review additional project repairs or requests; submit approval or denial recommendations.
- Review and negotiate change orders for scope and cost; submit change orders to Senior Construction Manager for approval.
- Maintain a list of general contractor chargebacks.
- Maintain owner-supplied items in the warehouse, including inventory control, ordering materials, and researching new or replacement products.
- Oversee project changes, including repair requests, and manage final project closeout processes.
- Travel to project sites as needed for site visits, surveys, owner inspections, and additional support.
- Collaborate with engineers, inspectors, and vendors to resolve construction challenges and improve methods.
Communication and Collaboration:
- Review vendor quotes for accuracy in scope and cost; work directly with vendors to correct quotes.
- Communicate regularly with architects, general contractors, vendors, and subcontractors to ensure project completion.
- Collaborate and problem-solve with other Buckle Teams on various issues.
- Confirm project completion through photos and communication with the Store Manager.
- Coordinate proposals, price negotiations, manufacturing schedules, and install schedules with vendors.

Education and/or Experience
- Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university.
- One to two years related experience and/or training.

While performing the duties of this Job, the Teammate is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear. The Teammate is occasionally required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Teammate must be comfortable working at heights on a multilevel mezzanine and have the ability to climb multi-level of stairs on a daily basis. Also regularly required to bend, twist and turn at waist. The Teammate must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
The ability to travel by flight or motor vehicle including overnight stays. Ability to operate a motor vehicle for up to 6 hours.
Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the Teammate regularly works in an office or store setting. There may be times when travelling to stores is required and the possibility of exposure to dust and odors. The Teammate is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places. The noise level in the work environment is usually very loud.
