Forklift Operator - Heavy Steel Beems

Loader Job Description The Loader will be responsible for working in the yard, moving heavy steel beams and products with a forklift, and unloading/loading them onto trucks. Additionally, the Loader will operate a band saw to cut materials as required and perform yard cleanup. Responsibilities Operate forklifts to move heavy steel products within the yard and load them onto trucks. Ensure the accurate and safe loading of steel products onto trucks for delivery. Operate a band saw to cut materials to specified dimensions. Maintain a clean and organized work area to facilitate efficient operations. Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment. Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth operations. Assist with other yard duties as needed. Essential Skills Experience running a forklift and moving non-palletized loads. Ability to lift and move heavy steel products lifting up to 50-75lbs. Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety. Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment. Ability to work in various weather conditions. Additional Skills & Qualifications Previous experience operating band saws is preferred. Must be willing to join Local 516 Union upon 180 days of employment. Why Work Here? Work Environment The work environment is an industrial metal bending and fabrication shop with outdoor yard duties. Employees should expect to work in various weather conditions. The role operates on a day shift with hours from 5:30am to 2:00pm or 7:30am to 4:00pm, Monday through Friday. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tualatin, Oregon. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $23.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
