Our client, a leading player in the equine industry, is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager to join their team.
About the Role: This position is pivotal in driving sales growth and expanding market presence within the equine sector. You will lead the development and execution of a comprehensive plan to target high-end barn builders, premium barn equipment dealers, and luxury equine facilities. The role involves building strong relationships with high-end barn builders and contractors to integrate the company s products into their designs.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and execute sales strategies, marketing initiatives, pricing models, and distribution plans focused on the premium equine market.
Establish and maintain strong partnerships with distributors, contractors, and equine facility managers.
Focus on luxury equine construction projects, working closely with architects, consultants, and contractors to specify company products.
Stay informed on industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging growth opportunities to maintain a competitive edge.
Deliver exceptional customer service and technical support to key clients.
Utilize CRM tools (Salesforce) to manage sales activities, track progress, and report on financial targets.
Qualifications:
Bachelor s degree in Business, Agriculture, or a related field.
5+ years of sales experience in the equine, agricultural, or related industry, with a strong record of achieving sales targets.
Deep understanding of equine facility requirements, barn construction, and premium equipment solutions.
Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
Proficiency in CRM software (Salesforce) and Microsoft Office Suite.
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Willingness to travel at least 50% of the time to stay connected with the market and potential clients.
