Position Summary: We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Senior Mechanical Engineer (Static/Piping) to join our Engineering & Projects team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the mechanical engineering design, procurement, installation, and commissioning of static equipment and piping systems within the green methanol production facility. Key Responsibilities: Lead the engineering design and specification of static equipment including pressure vessels, heat exchangers, storage tanks, and other related infrastructure. Provide technical oversight for the design and installation of piping systems, including material selection, stress analysis, and layout optimization. Review and approve mechanical engineering deliverables from EPC contractors, vendors, and consultants. Ensure all designs comply with ASME, API, and other relevant codes and standards, as well as internal company specifications. Manage and resolve technical queries, design changes, and field engineering issues during project execution. Support procurement activities including vendor evaluations, technical bid analyses, and equipment inspections. Participate in HAZOP, design reviews, and constructability assessments. Oversee mechanical construction activities, ensuring safety, quality, and schedule adherence. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including process, electrical, instrumentation, and operations teams. Contribute to commissioning and start-up activities, ensuring reliable and safe operation of static equipment and piping systems. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering (or equivalent). Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred. Minimum of 8 - 12 years of relevant experience in mechanical engineering within petrochemical, refining, or industrial gas projects - with at least 3 years in a senior or lead engineer capacity. Strong technical expertise in the design and installation of static equipment and piping systems. Thorough knowledge of ASME (BPVC, B31.3), API, NFPA, and relevant industry codes and standards. Experience working on renewable fuels or green hydrogen/methanol projects is highly desirable. Proficient in mechanical engineering software tools for stress analysis, equipment design, and piping layout. Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Preferred Attributes: Experience with EPC project execution models. Familiarity with green fuel technologies, methanol synthesis, or hydrogen production infrastructure. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative, and dynamic project environment. Strong safety and environmental awareness mindset.
