Building Engineer or Technician

Our client, a leader in the facilities management industry, is seeking a Building Engineer to join their team. As a Building Engineer, you will be part of the Engineering & Maintenance department supporting various teams across the campus. The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service skills, strong troubleshooting abilities, and a proactive approach to maintenance which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Building Engineer or Technician

Location: Glendale, CA

Pay Range: $25/hr - $30/hr.

What's the Job?

  • Perform complex preventive maintenance and corrective repairs on building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
  • Monitor building system operations and performance, ensuring compliance with all applicable codes and regulations.
  • Respond quickly to emergency situations, providing timely solutions and support.
  • Oversee and inspect work performed by outside contractors, ensuring quality and compliance.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance and repair records, estimating time and materials needed for tasks.

What's Needed?

  • High school diploma or GED with a minimum of four years of related experience or trade school training.
  • Universal EPA certification is required; additional certifications in electrical, mechanical, or HVAC systems are preferred.
  • Strong skills in HVAC repairs, light electrical work, and general maintenance.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and present information to internal teams.
  • Proficiency in using CMMS and basic Microsoft Office applications.
