Project Manager- Heavy Civil Construction

SUMMARY:
The Project Manager will be responsible for managing construction projects from pre-construction to completion while ensuring the project remains on schedule and within budget.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Partner with safety to ensure safety programs are established and executed
- Financial monitoring and reporting including cost monitoring, cost and revenue projections, change order logs, under/overbilling reports, invoicing, vendor and subcontractor invoicing review and approval
- Work with project superintendents to identity applicable equipment @types, personnel skill sets, means, methods, and schedule as required
- Manage and update receiving and yield reports
- Maintain cost accounting, schedule impacts, fully authorized change order logs, and communication logs
- Submit quarterly cost to complete projections
- Keep change order log up to date
- Coordinate equipment acquisitions
- Subcontract committed costs tracking
- Estimating review to understand strategies, risks, and opportunities
- Pre-construction planning with project team
- Review and procure any permits or licensing required
- Sub-contractor scope and schedule review
- Project documentation including submittals, RFI's, meeting minutes, work plans
- Project closeout including final documentation, invoicing, retainage release
EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School diploma or equivalent required (Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred)
- At least 5 years industry experience, overseeing multiple projects simultaneously
REQUIREMENTS:
- Experience working on heavy civil, DOT
- Ability to read and understand of contracts
- Strong analytical skills
- Detail-oriented and good organization skills
- Ability to communicate well with others, both written and orally
- Proficient in Computer applications such as Microsoft and time reporting systems
- Functional knowledge of job cost accounting
- Travel May be Required
