Anderson Process is seeking an experienced Industrial Fabricator to join our fabrication team in Wisconsin. This hands-on role is responsible for building custom industrial process systems, with a strong focus on welding and mechanical assembly.
From interpreting drawings to fabricating pump skids, piping, and support structures, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality, custom-engineered systems for our customers.
This is a first-shift position with potential for overtime and minimal travel.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Interpret drawings, P&IDs, and build notes to fabricate process equipment and make informal redline updates as needed.
- Fabricate and assemble pump skids, bases, and frames including:
- Cut, weld, and assemble tubing, channel, and plate for frames and carts.
- MIG/TIG welding (carbon steel and stainless-steel).
- Layout and drilling/tapping.
- Mounting pumps, gear reducers, motors, guards, and riser blocks.
- Pipe and tubing fitting, welding, and assembly including:
- Stainless steel sanitary tubing welding.
- Carbon steel and stainless-steel pipe welding.
- Flanged pipe assembly.
- Threaded pipe assembly.
- Use machine tools (lathe, vertical mill, brake press) for basic part machining and prep.
- Perform alignment, quality checks, and testing of completed assemblies.
- Use computers for parts lookup, diagrams, and spec review.
- Operate shop equipment including overhead cranes and forklifts.
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe fabrication area.
- Collaborate with team members and mentor less experienced staff.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education/Skills/Experience
Required:
- Minimum 5 years of fabrication experience in a related industrial environment.
- Demonstrable mechanical aptitude and ability to work independently.
- Proficiency in MIG (solid wire and flux core) and TIG welding.
- Experience with pipe and tube fitting and welding (carbon steel and stainless).
- Familiarity with metal cutting, grinding, finishing, and basic machining.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
- Valid driver's license and insurability.
Preferred:
- Experience with industrial pump skid systems or fluid process equipment.
- Familiarity with ASME B31.3 or other welding codes (not required but valued).
- Experience with jig fabrication or fixture setup.
- Exposure to electrical systems or control integration.
- Trade school certificate or associate’s degree in welding, fabrication, or mechanical technology.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift 50-75 lbs.
- Ability to stand or walk most of the day.
- Ability to twist and turn at least 25% of the day.
- Stoop and bend at least 25% of the day.
- Ability to reach above shoulders at least 25% of day.
- Repetitive hand and wrist movements at least 50% of the day.
- Forearm rotation at least 25% of the day.
