Job Responsibilities:
We are looking for skilled, reliable laborers with a strong work ethic who are eager to learn our unique construction process from our talented team and grow with our company.
- Assist with site layout, measurement, excavation, plumbing, backfilling, forming, steel tying, concrete placement, rigging, and installation.
- Use construction and maintenance tools and equipment to complete daily tasks.
- Safely operate a variety of tools, including pressure washers, jackhammers, drills, saws, grinders, and various hand tools
- Safely operate heavy equipment
- Help with setting up and transferring temporary structures (e.g., scaffolding)
- Follow all safety regulations and ensure proper PPE is worn.
- Perform other duties and assignments as directed by management.
Requirements:
- MUST HAVE one (1) year of construction experience
- Must be able to regularly travel and work out of town
- Must be able to utilize air transportation
- Must have a valid driver's license.
- Prompt and punctual attendance to the shop or job site is required
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the job (e.g. standing for long periods of time, lifting heavy loads of up to 80 pounds etc.)
- Pass background and drug screening
- Be able to pass a drug test and be subject to random drug testing
- Good hand-eye coordination
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and machinery
- Communication and teamwork skills
- Commitment to safety rules
- Apprenticeship or specialization is an asset but not necessary
General Physical Requirements
Strength and Endurance
- Lift and carry heavy materials (50-100 lbs)
Operate heavy tools and equipment for extended periods
Stamina
- Perform physically demanding tasks for 8-10 hour shifts
Work in extreme weather conditions (heat, humidity, cold)
Mobility and Agility
- Frequent walking, standing, bending, crouching, and kneeling
Climb ladders and get in/out of excavation pits or pool shells
Coordination and Dexterity
- Use hand and power tools with precision
Handle small parts and fittings (pipes, tiles, rebar ties, etc.)
Balance and Stability
- Maintain balance on uneven or slippery ground
Work safely near open excavations and pool edges
Job-Specific Physical Demands
Digging and Shoveling
- Manual excavation work when machinery isn't viable
Backfilling and leveling around pool structures
Concrete Work
- Transport and pour concrete (wheelbarrows, hoses)
Trowel, smooth, and finish concrete surfaces
Plumbing and Piping
- Carry and fit PVC pipes and fittings
Work in awkward positions to connect or repair lines
Tile and Surface Finishing
- Repetitive motion for setting tile, applying plaster
Extended time in crouched or kneeling positions
Equipment Handling
- Operate compactors, saws, drills, and other machinery
Load/unload materials from trucks
Environmental Tolerance
Outdoor Work
- Exposure to sun, dirt, water, and concrete dust
Tolerance for noise and vibration from tools/machinery
Confined Spaces
- Work in pool shells or under decking with limited space
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
