Duties & Responsibilities

- Monitor and manage production to maximize production and control lease operating expenses

- Ensure all maintenance work is carried out in a safe manner

- Coordinate the planning and implementation of maintenance work

- Collaborate with engineers regarding maintenance issues

- Monitor equipment and systems to ensure that the required performance is maintained

- Ensure the plant, processes and equipment are functioning efficiently

- Supervise the maintenance, repair and adjustment of mechanical equipment or facilities, which may involve electronic, electrical, mechanical or HVAC systems

- Administer preventive and predictive maintenance programs

- Provide the ordering, maintenance, and retrieval or maintenance and operating supplies

- Prepare and administer annual budgets with monthly updates

- Ensure supplier development and reliability

- Lead and develop plant safety initiatives and committees

- Provide effective status reports to clearly communicate important maintenance activities

- Responsible for following all safety policies and guidelines as established by Scout

- Perform other various tasks as assigned by the Superintendent

Skills & Specifications

- Able to work with a diverse team

- Demonstrate knowledge of electrical control systems, plant mechanical systems, and appropriate safety procedures for their repair

- Able to prioritize and delegate construction activities and manage corrective actions

- Able to manage and delegate the activities of Maintenance Technicians

- Has basic computer skills; data entry into various electronic databases

- Ability to work safely and adhere to all company guidelines, policies, and procedures

- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, organizational skills and managerial skills

- Capable of developing inventory management systems to support production

- Maintains good housekeeping in all areas of responsibility

- Must be part of an on-call rotation schedule

- Must be detailed oriented and enjoy a fast paced, multi-tasking, customer service minded environment

Education & Qualifications

- Possess a valid driver’s license, CDL a plus (may be required in some locations)

- Legally authorized to work in the United States

- Able to pass a pre-employment drug and background check

- Must possess a high school diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited, state-certified program

- Certifications from trade schools and/or professional organizations are preferred

- Knowledgeable in operating and maintaining equipment within oil and gas facilities preferred

- Capable of lifting/carrying/pushing/pulling up to 50lbs

- Capable of rigorous outdoor activities with physical ability to work extended hours, climbing, bending, kneeling, squatting, working with arms extended above the head, twisting upper body, standing for long periods, working in confined spaces, exposure to extreme weather conditions, driving a vehicle, operation of forklifts and light industrial equipment
