2nd shift Splining Machine Operator

We are seeking a skilled Splining Machinist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in producing precision splined parts and other intricate features using various machining processes including hobbing, shaping and broaching. You will work with blueprints in this role.

Location: Bolton, CT
Shift: 3pm-11pm
Pay Rate: $25+/ hour
Duties

• Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications to understand the required dimensions, tolerances, and features of splined parts.
• Cutting and Machining: Precisely cut and machine various materials to create splines and other intricate shapes, ensuring accuracy and quality.
• Inspection and Quality Control: Inspect completed parts using various gaging devices and measuring tools to ensure they meet specifications and quality standards.
• Tool Management: Maintain and inspect tool cutters, maintain tool data reports, and recommend changes to tool cutter geometry.
• Record Keeping: Maintain accurate production records, including lot control traceability and log book entries.
• Material Handling: Move material within the machining cell and maintain inventory.
• Maintenance: Perform minor machine maintenance and report any needed repairs.

• Proficient in operating machinery.
• Experience with specs and drawings
• Strong understanding of basic math concepts for measurement calculations.
• Familiarity with GD&T standards.
• Ability to weld is a plus but not mandatory.
